Lipoma

UPDATE: We saw the Pedi Ortho doctor at Texas Children's Hospital and he said that it is NOT scoliosis!  It is fatty tissue.  Lipoma.  We are thankful that it is NOT scoliosis after all.

We found out the end of January 2012 that Candice possibly has scoliosis.  We are going on April 3, 2012 for her first Pedi Ortho appt at Texas Children's Houston.

The lump on her back that the allergist that she was previously seeing for mastocytosis told us was related to the mastocytosis, but did no further testing or investigating, is possibly scoliosis.  When we changed allergists, we now go to Texas Children's in Houston, TX, that we were told that it could not be related to mastocytosis and we were sent to see the pedi dermatologist at Texas Children's in Houston and were told to get her pedi to do a scoliosis screening.  We got the scoliosis x-rays done and were told that it is indeed scoliosis.  Her allergist put in the request to see the pedi ortho there at Texas Children's Houston.

Here are the preliminary pictures of the lump on her back take  when they first appeared:
